ViableMHR

Texas youth mental health resources

About ViableMHR

Operated by VMHR • Informational directory for families and caregivers

Our mission

ViableMHR helps families and caregivers find youth mental health programs in Texas—especially after hospital discharge or when navigating levels of care (PHP, IOP, outpatient, crisis resources). We provide contact information, eligibility basics, and verification dates so you can call programs directly and confirm details.

This site is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911. For crisis support, call or text 988.

Neutrality policy

  • No paid rankings. Programs do not pay to appear higher in search results.
  • No clinical endorsement. Listing a program does not mean we recommend it for any individual.
  • Informational only. We do not book appointments, provide intake, or collect payment.

How listings are verified

Each program record includes a verification date and source (for example, a provider website or documented phone confirmation). We aim to re-check listings at least every 90 days. Information can change—always call the program to confirm availability, insurance, and age eligibility.

What we check

  • Program name, organization, and care level
  • Contact phone, website, and location or service area
  • Age range and insurance notes where publicly available
  • Whether the program appears still active (not permanently closed)

What “verified” does and does not mean

Verified means we confirmed listing details against a source on the date shown. It does not mean:

  • A clinical quality rating or recommendation
  • Licensure, accreditation, or outcomes audit
  • Current bed availability, waitlist status, or intake openings (call the program)

90-day refresh cycle

Listings older than 90 days show an Verification overdue notice on search results and program pages. They remain visible when we believe they are still useful, but you should confirm details directly with the program. You can also filter to programs verified within the last 30, 90, or 180 days using advanced filters.

We do not sell data or use ad/marketing trackers. We use Statcounter for basic aggregate page analytics (traffic patterns, not individual profiling for ads). Favorites and search history stay in your browser unless you clear them. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
